- Because i said so. Tgr3 15:12, 27 August 2008 (EDT) Why won't a window (xterm or matlab) show up! I have double checked all the security requirements. When i issue the command, xterm or whatever, it appears to hang, meaning it moves onto the next line without the information on the current directory i am in (which usually shows up). When I add the '&' symbol after, it shows a number and another number. Example:
[aj75@teer2 ~]$ xterm & [4] 4291 [aj75@teer2 ~]$
This has been tried out on Teer18 as well. Please help so I can do my homework! Aj75 16:29, 27 August 2008 (EDT)
