About Me

I am a first year undergraduate student at Duke University. I am pursuing a BSE in Mechanical Engineering from the Pratt School of Engineering, and a minor in Mathematics from the Trinity College of Arts and Sciences.

Name Pronunciation

My family pronounces my first name "El-EE-Ah-Nuh", and my last name "Dur-Kee". The most common mispronunciation is people calling me "E-lane-uh", but that is simply not the order the letters are in. My friends and family also call me Eli, pronounced "El-EE".

Current Courses

  • EGR 95FS: Emerging Materials and Technologies for Energy Future
  • EGR 95FS: Sustainable Energy Project: Engineering Design and Communication
  • MATH 221: Linear Algebra and Applications
  • EGR 103: Computational Methods in Engineering
  • FOCUS 195FS: Special Topics in FOCUS

Projects

  • My EGR 95FS: Sustainable Energy Project: Engineering Design and Communication Design Sprint project
  • My photography portfolio
  • Currently working on: my EGR 95FS: Sustainable Energy Project: Engineering Design and Communication Design Challenge
    • Our goal is to create a solar panel mount for a mini-design space constructed from a shipping container, in order to maximize solar irradiance through variations in tilt approximately every three months. The frame and mount should be replicable with materials available in Kampala, Uganda, where the partner design space is located. Additionally, it should use a minimal amount of electricity in order to maximize the electricity available to the design space.
  • Smaller EGR 95FS: Sustainable Energy Project: Engineering Design and Communication projects like learning how to CAD with Fusion 360 ** [file:///Users/elianagrace/Desktop/MacTown%20Drawing.pdf McLean High School Cross Country Keychain]
