I found most of the MATLAB demonstrations very interesting, but the one I found the coolest was probably the one about the Loma Prieta Earthquake. I just thought it was so cool that the culmination of simple variables defined with rather simple equations could culminate together and display the data of a natural event. What I found even cooler was that MATLAB could look at different aspects of the earthquake by simply deriving the information from the orignial data e.g. find the accleration, velocity, and displacement in 3-dimensiosns of a point during the earthquake.

MATLAB Demonstrations

I found most of the MATLAB demonstrations very interesting, but the one I found the coolest was probably the one about the Loma Prieta Earthquake. I just thought it was so cool that the culmination of simple variables defined with rather simple equations could culminate together and display the data of a natural event. What I found even cooler was that MATLAB could look at different aspects of the earthquake by simply deriving the information from the orignial data e.g. find the accleration, velocity, and displacement in 3-dimensiosns of a point during the earthquake.
