Hello everyone,
My name is Ying and I go to Duke. I like singing and table tennis. I also like engineering. I would like to be an engineer one day.
I like the computer vision demonstration within MATLAB. I find computer vision to be quite interesting, because vision gives a computer a life and soul, and creating that makes me feel responsible. I also enjoy it because it is complicated and I don't understand it, and I marvel at how something I don't understand could be built upon a platform that I will understand one day.
I also enjoy learning about nuclear fusion; here is a link to a Grand Challenge about it: http://www.engineeringchallenges.org/cms/8996/9079.aspx I like fusion because it promises an essentially unlimited supply of energy, thereby providing the means to solve many of the world's problems.
Thanks Ying
